Almost all computers have some type of Ethernet port. It is an RJ-45 (looks similar to a phone jack, but slightly larger), and is usually located at the back of the computer.

Yes, it is there, but won't fit the cable that I recieved. Thank you for clarifying this for me.

The cable should be a CAT5 or CAT6 Ethernet cable. CAT6 is newer, but CAT5 will work just as fine.

I should be able to find a computer store that has a CAT5 cable. Thankyou so much for your help with this. This should resolve the connection problem.

Great! Local stores like MicroCenter, CompUSA, Fry's, WorstBuy, etc, all carry this CAT5 cable.
