Yes, but the SPD values are different, you have to manually set the Ballistix PC3200 to the slower values of the PC4000, 2.5-3-3-8, when you want PC4000 speed to be stable.

hell, a lot of these guys think they just need to increase the CPU voltage and sudenly everything will be clocked higher.

1) PC4000 (DDR500) is not officially endorsed by Jedec (unless in the form of DDR2). Therefore no motherboard that I know of allows you to use DDR500 without overclocking.
