I have a Dell Optiplex 330, desktop and the "low profile" stuff is driving me crazy. I want to move all of it to a standard ATXcase so I can use regular cards and a better power supply. I already have everything I need except for the case, so it wouldn't be a big investment. Besides the case connectors, which I'm sure can be hacked to work with the proper case, any other considerations? Has anybody done this with the same or similar PC - and what case recommendations do you have, if any?

eBay a barebone Optiplex 330 and you will see cases, that's a good way. there are mini-tower options available.
it can't be from another model Optiplex as in 740 or 755, nothing like that.
just look for 330 mini-tower case, it's because the screws will match up.
the motherboard is Dell specific and to fit it into a non Dell case can be a big pain not being worth it.
and with all the possible cutting and modding, it might not even work if you mess up in the slightest way.
and to be honest unless this is the C2D cpu Optiplex 330, I wouldn't even worry about it and start new.
