im building a home surveillance system, i would like it to be pc based as i have an old machine sitting around. im looking at both analog ccv camera and ip cameras as im thinking of making a hybrid system (the ccv cameras outside, with the wireless ip cameras inside) although im not set on this config.
im thinking of a system of about 5 outside cameras and three inside. i also would like to be able to check the cameras remotely by laptop and android phone. does anyone have any experience in creating surveillance systems from scratch? do you have any software or hardware suggestions?
