My Dell Studio 1555 keeps locking up

It locks up quite often and its starting to get really annoying. Sometimes it just randomly locks up and it locks up more often when playing a video. Is it to do with the RAM but I don't think its that because it has 4GB of it and it sounds plenty.

The laptop is new, which I bought a few months ago and it locks up the first time I used it.
Is there a fix for this?

Did you get an answer for this issue. My Dell studio 1555 is doing the same thing.

Is the video stored in the machine or being streamed down the line?

Go into Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Event Viewer and scroll through the System logs to see red or yellow entries for clues as to what might be wrong. Post any you don't understand back here.
