I'm looking at purchasing a Gateway DX4831-01e from Best Buy. I fine with the configuration/features of the pc except for the graphics which is integrated instead of dedicated. I've read where an individual may not want an integrated graphic solution if they are a gamer. The PC is for my wife who uses the PC for E-mail, internet surfing, viewing news videos on line (not watching movies), and photo editing (Photo Shop Elements). If she does play any games it is the basic games that came with Windows XP (spider, free cell, etc.).
Would this provide a good solution for what she does? Does the PC allow for an upgrade to a dedicated graphic card if needed?
Any advice would be appreciated,

From the specifications that I have seen, the Gatewat DX4831-01e is very good for everything that you listed. If your wife is only going to play games like Spider, Free Cell etc., you will not need to upgrade your graphics card.

SO YES, THE GRAPHICS CARD WAS NO PROBLEM.
hello how did you disable the onboard intel graphics ???? i just upgraded the power supply to a bfg 550 watt and i want to install my new ati 5760 512 ddr5 pci-e video card
When you install the new video card, it will turn off the onboard video automatic

maybe i dont have the card pushed in all the way so it wont post to my monitor
thank you i got my new Radeon 5670 512 ddr5 card installed i forgot to switch my monitor to dvi now my system screams .
All,
I'm a little slow with my reply. I ended up purchasing a Gateway® DX4300-15e back in May. My wife loves the PC and it is working without any issues.
