So how can you save them without downloading, what else can you do? You can save the page in Favorites I guess.

 

You either play it streaming or you download them to your computer, no middle ground here.

Try Youtubedownloader ... or something similar.

It is freeware.

It will save your video and rename it accordingly, in a dir of your choice.

I used it for viewing those US nuclear videos they recently released as I found the topic very interesting historically, along with the Chernobyl and 3 mile Island videos from news.
