Some of you may have seen my post regarding which monitor to get and I have decided to go with the new Dell Ultrasharp 2408wfp.
I am thinking of doing a 3 monitor setup (mainly for FSX) with the 2408wfp as the primary in the middle and then maybe 2 x 22 Dell E228wfp on either side of it.
Just wondering if you could answer these questions:
1) Would there be any trouble with 2408wfp running at 1920 x 1200 but the other E228wfp's running at 1680 x 1050?
2) Would I have to lower the primary monitor resoution to also run at 1680 x 1050?
3) Most importantly would this even work?
4) Would it be worth cancelling my order, waiting and saving for a Dell 2708wfp? The rest of the "8" series is out apart from the 27" and it looks very tempting, especially if I am going to get a 9800 graphics card, I'd like to make the most of it.
I don't even know if this is coming anytime soon anyway. I asked Dell and they tried to avoid the question by saying that they update their website often! very helpful indeed...
1) No trouble.
2) No. i run my main display at 2560x1600 and my sides at 1200x1600
3) I think it would be awsome!!!
4) Ummh, I think going to a 27" is gona get everything much more expensive. But if you have the $$$ and dont mind waiting. I hate waiting!!!
