Is there's any way round the apparent lack of support for folders (I hate tagging)?

And how do you load ordinary AVI footage -- the manual suggests that you need the LG Media Centre software to convert them.

So far haven't found a full version of the Media Centre (only upgrade fixes in English). Would that help with the folders issue anyway -- all reviews suggest it s*cks.

The player incidentally sounds great, seems reliable, and has cool touch screen (fiddly for big fingers) photos and footage look quite good. It's not as cool as an Ipod Touch (but no control-freak iTunes nonsense either) and I'd have preferred a Sony -- but the price was irresistible.
