Thread : Monitor for World of Warcraft

I don't play FPS games much if at all, so i'm curious if response matters as much as it would in an FPS game. I do not know the response time on my current laptop screen but I saw no blur or anything, it actually looked very good (all 15'' of it). I'm building a new computer and I am looking at 24''+, and to be exact, I really like the size of the 30'' Dell. With a response time of 12ms, would it even matter? WoW isn't like FPS in the least bit, so i'm looking for feedback on this decision.

Well, I bought it because, yes, sometimes I play other games. If I want a large monitor (which I did from the beginning) I would need a good GPU to match. |

Response time can be very misleading, panels that advertise 2ms response times are more or less lying (bending the truth to the extreme). The 30 inch Dell should be fine providing you have the graphics power to feed it.

I was getting a steady 50-60fps playing WoW with an X1600 on my laptop. I just hope I don't get screwed with Vista 64-bit. |

i think anything under 15ms response time is good enough to play FPS... im not sure tho but ive used a crappy 1998 monitor on WoW and tht must be like 50ms so get the 30" and send tht second 88GT 2 me |
