laptop note book just keeps rebooting, unable to reach the cd rom to do recovery, check bios to do a test on hard drive states not there, how can I reach a mode to be able to see if it will recover?

I get this error message over and over as it reboots:
error message stating 'pxe-e61: media test failure, check cable PXE-m0F: exiting PXE rom.' I also see your system is not reading recovery CDs.

Can someone help me please.

I have an old 'ze' laptop, not the same model. have you tried reading through any of these links to the error message you are receiving? Appears to be a BIOS issue. Try going into BIOS and apply 'default'.
