Edit: 2 year old laptop

I am wanting to know what I should do here.. I currently own a 2006 Acer laptop with Windows XP MCE. It needed to be repaired more than 3 times so I am allowed to replace it with a new one of my liking with the extended warranty I purchased.

I am looking at an HP laptop, more specfically the HP DV6976CA.

I will be doing web development, so I want to have my machine very responsive. So, I'm trying to decide what will give me better performance?

Spec wise, it seems to be that the HP will do me good...
Current: AMD TL50 1.6GHz Dual Core, HP: Intel T5750 2.0 GHz Dual Core (Winner)
Current: 2GB DDR2, HP: 4GB DDR2
Current: 160GB 5200PM, HP: 320GB 5200 RPM
Current: X1600 Mobile Radeon, HP: GeForce 8400M GS
Current: DVD-RW, Dual Layer, HP: DVD-RW Dual Layer; Blu-Ray
Now yes, hardware wise it's powerful.. but it has Windows Vista where as my current machine is XP. Will I still encounter better performance?
