hi

I have an old sony vaio laptop.

it used to work fine but recently the left hand shift key has started playing up.

it consistently no longer works in several key combos ie. shift 3 for £ sign, shift m for M and shift p for P. all other shift combos work normally. the right shift is fine too.

i've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the keyboard but the problem remains.

i'll try an xp re-install soon but i'd like to hear any other ideas first
