Hi guys, I'm going to University and I have some budget to buy a new laptop.

I need it to run 3D software like SolidWorks and top games but I want it to be an all decent machine. I will mostly do visual stuff with it, like graphics so that's my focus.

I live in Ontario, Canada and would rather not get it online but all offers all cool.

Any help is deeply appreciated, thx.

NOTE:
This is essentially the perfect price and computer i'm looking for except that I live in Canada and Newegg does not ship to Canada :(
If there is any way to buy this in Canada, I would do it.

Check out your local suppliers for sales. HP is unloading all of their current laptops as the newer models are coming out in the next few weeks. You might want to wait and see if the XGP option with crossfire is something for you. That way you can use the laptop as a portable machine but have the more powerful graphics when back at your desk. There aren't any units out to the consumers yet but should be in the next few weeks.

thx for the info. The XGP looks good but I really need it before August. There is no release dates, everything is so hidden and then they're everywhere. Stupid system.

Isn't Asus coming out with the G70?

20.1"?

That's insane man, the thing weighs 15.3 pounds! I also live in Ontario.

I'm opting for this: http://www.xoticpc.com/asus-g1sna1 [...] -2372.html
