hello all...im currently looking to purchase a gaming laptop, my budget for this is $1500 give or take ...i will be playing fps (crysis,Cod4,UT3) , but i will be using it mostly to play WoW...im wanting my machine also to be able to play future games...my friend keeps telling me to build a PC since i could get better performance for my money and it would also be more future proof, is this true? but since im going to be going to college next fall i would like the portability of notebook...

im considering getting a Dell xps M1530 with the a Intel T7700 2.4 , the Gefore 8600M GT, and the 3 GB of memory

another notebook i was looking at is a Toshiba http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6834114384
but it seems to have a low cpu clock...would that be a bad idea to go with ?

and another machine im considering is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6834220182

What would be the best choice for my gaming needs ? is there some other notebook that i havent came across that would suit me better? or is my friend right and i should just just build a machine so it wont be out of date within a year ?

any input is appreciated...Merry Christmas everyone!!!

desktops are way more powerful, WAY MORE for gaming especially and yes they also cost way less. if you want to play crysis on a laptop on high settings you can dream on unless you have a super power laptop (BIG bucks).

my advice is to get a desktop pc, dnt need to spend that much either i have no idea about the pricing in the us so i cant give you an estimate

although a laptop is also nice, i too am looking for a gaming grade laptop at the moment and am thinking of going for the MSI gx700 extreme edition, not sure if its in your price range though, give it a look, the gx600 is also nice and a bit cheaper

well i don't necessarily want to play crysis on high settings...im satisfied with medium..i just want to make sure that if i was to get a laptop would the ones i suggested be able to handle crysis on medium and future games ?
