Hi Guys,

I'm ready to buy a new burning lappy. Anybody has any ideas on what's better deal? 8700 or 7950gtx in SLI? I'd probably not gonna use Vista a lot for now, but might switch to it later when it's better patched.

are u serious?

a single 7950 is superior to 8700 in most games.
also does better in benchmarking (not that benchmarks are that important)

sli 7950 is the best u can get for gaming right now... im 99% sure of that.

and save urself a lot of pain - dont get vista till a service pack comes out, should be out in a few months from what ive heard. up to you...

^Pretty much what he said. The 7950GTX is currently the performance king. The only thing the 8700's have going is the DX10 support, but if you aren't using Vista then it's a waste. The 7950's should be upgradeable as well.
