I've read that both Samsung and Asus packages thier UMPCs with some sort of sub windows media listening/viewing software. basicly from my understanding is that it looks like a dual book setup with some proprietary form of linux optimized for media playback

anyone here have experience with these?
do they extend battery life?
do they serve any other purpose?
