More Information

Hey everyone:

I have a problem: I once scanned some notebooks using an an Astra 1200S scanner on a machine running Win98SE. They were saved as *.pfc files, and I unfortunately don't remember what software I used to scan the things. Anyway, I can't seem to locate any software that is capable of opening them. They are not actually individual images, but sort of like "cab" files containing many images stored together. Any info as to how to accomplish this will be GREATLY appreciated.

Thx for listening ;-)

I know you said they are scanned images in a cab type format with the file extension .pfc, could these files be related to AOL "Personal File Cabinet" files? If so, here are a couple links: .pfc and Importing AOL Favorites

I'm sure if this will help, but I use this program to convert graphic file type. You can download a free evaluation copy of "Graphic Workshop" from Alchemy Mind Workshop, go to the one that says Digital Camera Users. Hope you find this useful.

Yep, I just checked, this will do what you need. check the file formats capable of converting here. Good luck!
