More Information

Hello All
I did post a topic on this subject but I think it went into the wrong area so I am trying again. I was an employee of the Psion agents in South Africa, losing my job after Psion decided to cease production of PDA's. After that I started my business which has for the last 5 years supported the remaining Psion users with repairs and migration to other platforms.
There are a number of points I would like to bring up for discussion,
1. it has been mentioned that the symbian operating system was a flaw, why? I don't agree it has been somewhat evolved over the recent years what can it not do that now Windows Mobile can.
2. Doing contact searches in Pocket PC or Windows mobile is very slow even compared to the now dated 5mx, try it you'll see what I mean. Also you cannot search all fields which you could do on the 5mx contacts program.
3. If some sort of Office package is included will it (I think it should) include a flat file database of which you can have more than one copy and be able to synchronise with more than one folder in Outlook
4. The batteries on the 5mx lasted almost a month, has technology improved sufficiently in colour screens to allow batteries to last more than 8 hours as they do on current PDA's.
5. If Psion themselves are not going support this project without their permission you will not be able to call it a Psion
I( don't know if any of these points have been discussed but I would be interested in hearing responses.
