Dell XPS? ALien Ware?  Ive looked around...what about these killer notebooks. I want best bang for buck...online gaming mostly

For CPU: Core 2 Duo, T7600 2.33 Ghz is the best/fastest right now.  
For GPU: 7900 GTX 512 MB is the best gaming card out.
Screen size: Is up to you, to get a 7900 class card, you are going to need to go with a 17" chassis.  
Hard Drive: Size is based on your needs, but 7,200 rpm is a must for the overall system speed. Of course there are RAID configurations for more size and performance.  
Warranty: You need a company that is going to stand behind their product... unconditionally, and actually DO something for you when there is a problem.
 
Something that many people asume they are getting, but often overlook is knowledgeable staff and tech support. Without that, you are on your own, and that isn't a good place to be. Everyone claims they know what they are doing, but you should contact them and make sure you know what you are getting and that they know what they are talking about.

Sounds like the Dell XPS 1710 is the best bet then by your recommendations. Especially if I buy from the OUTLET or use my 12% employee discount.

Killernotebooks Executioner and the Dell 1710 are roughly the same price.
DELL has exploding computers, some interesting quality control issues and is a huge supporter of george (scum bag) bush and his band of thieves.
 
Look into killernotebooks Executioner, Im going to get one at the end of this month. Mark from killernotebooks seems passonate about what he does provides excellent customer service. Compare that to the guy in pakistan that answers dells customer service lines and is reading a script and following a rats nest of  "if you have problem "X" proceced to page 34"

That DELL XPS is a $3853 machine that's w/o carry case, w/o SoundBlaster Pro 8 channel output, w/o 108 Mbps internal wireless with built in rangemax extender, w/o OS configuration, w/o RAID array, w/o complex multiple hard drive configuration options, w/o 64 bit OS options, w/o internal tv tuner option,  w/o complete customization options like branding and aluminum shield plates (but you do get either red or black cases WOW), w/o TAX which is $192 and with a minimum of 2 weeks before it ships... more than likely with a month wait on it with a T7600.

I can't directly sell my systems on this forum, but I can PM you the answer.

I would appreciate it, also you policies on Hardware support.  I'm a tech myself so the only thing I ever need is parts if something goes bad, other types of things Im pretty much good at.

If I were to design a perfect tech support solution this is how I would do it    
 
1) Email support
....a) Explanation of solution in text with step by step what to do.
....b) Screen shots w/ explanations (Example of how to enable MIC boost
....c) Video  
....d) Video with voice over
2) Windows scripting and Registry scripts.
3) PCAnywhere type web based remote assistance.
4) Phone support - this is really almost useless IMHO, I mean, if you knew how to do it, you wouldn't need support. Someone explaining what to do over the phone is a lot harder than what I listed above, but it's there.
 
Also, the use of retail hard drives gives you a 3 or 5 year warranty on really the only part that is going to fail.

Not exactly in the same category... even as DELL for support and after sale customer care.

The DUal SLI 512, does that mean there is two video cards at 512 each?  Does killer notebooks have this as well?  Is dual SLI much of a performance increase over a single 512?

Yes, we have that Sli model, it is our Assassin.
It does have 2 video cards, it (2) 7900 GTX cards 512 Mb each.  
Dual Video Cards, or Sli just eats games alive. Graphics are as smooth as silk.
 
Keep in mind though this is a 19" laptop, it is HUGE!

I use the fastest RAM available on planet Earth only available from 1 company 2-2-2-5 timings.
 
108 Mbps wireless instead of 54 G.
 
They are using Media Center (which is the closest thing to BEta software as you can get) and I am using XP Pro.
 
I don't know these guys so I can't speak to their tech support and warranty service, but this is what I am all about.

That is the difference in the systems. Tha's about all I can say about that.

I just got a Wakizachi from Mark the other day. While going through the buying process he always answered my questions and he recomended a C2D for me at a reasonable price. I got 1 stick of 1 gig of ram so I could upgrade easier to 2 gigs later on. He also sold me a 7200 rpm hard drive while everyone else in this price catorgory were getting only 5400 rpm.
 
I always like dealing with the owners of companies I'm working for or buying from. Do you think Micheal will call you if you have a problem with a Dell?
