Thread : Is there a Palm OS PDA w/screen visible outdoors?

More Information

I'm looking for a budget PDA for mostly calendar/MS Word stuff. Love my husband's Palm TX but don't need the internet. Would like to keep Palm OS so we could sync outlook together -- would also like something that'll work w/portable keyboard. I can't see the TX screen outside -- are there any that are easier to see in bright light? Or, is it possible to tweak screen settings to help visibility? I'm considering a used older model if one fits the bill. Thanks.

More Information

The old black and white Palm III worked fine outside if I recall. That was about three years ago.

My Treo 650 (and also the 600) worked great outdoors too, if you're interested in a combo Palm and phone.

More Information

I know what you mean about not seeing the screen outdoors or even in a car.

For my Palm Tx's I put screen protectors on them. The ones I use are from the company Boxwave. They have a texture to them so that it cuts out the glare. This made difference.

I preferred to get myself and family members all the same device so that we can all share cables, etc.

Hope this helps someone.
