I have not had any problems with Sprint Customer Service. I find that if you
are courteous with them that they will be very helpful. On the other hand,
if you take an adversarial position and are rude, you will reap exactly what
you sew. That is basic human nature and you will find this to be true with
CS for all cellular providers. I have had a cell phone since the day that
bag phones came out in the 80s and therefore I have had a significant amount
of experience with cell phone provider CS.

They are, in general. My problem with them is that a number of CSRs aren't
trained very well and give out incorrect information. The problems I've had
have been fixed quickly, but with a little more advance planning they won't
happen in the first place.

As in every Customer Service Department, there's good and bad.

While most of my conversations have been productive, a few times
I've found myself hitting a brick wall. At that point, I'll ask
to speak to someone "at the next level." Most of the time, I'll
get to speak to someone else. Occasionally, the less-than-helpful
Rep will tell me that there's no one else to speak to. No good.
I'll usually come back with, "OK, suppose there's a fire in the
building you're working in. After calling the fire department,
who's the next person you'll call? That's the person I want to
speak to."

I agree completely. I have been very professional with them, but their
training is not good enough. I spent $800 on phones based upon some
completely wrong info they gave me and I learned of their mistake after the
30 days were up (on about day 45). They said too bad even though they
agreed they had given me bad info. Even that same day they were giving me
bad info. I don't like that they admit their mistake but make no effort to
fix it and now I'm out $800!

You need to contact someone at a higher level in Sprint. If I was out $800,
I would sure pursue it!

What you'd experience is a very polite "we're not going to do anything
about it, and we're closing the case. We're going to put a note on your
account to inform anybody you call that the issue is closed."

They must really dislike you. :-)

And you've worked for them for how long?

I think they dislike anybody who has the audacity to call them about any
issue, especially if they have to wake up and think instead of operating
in complete robot-mode.

I have never had an issue with Sprint I could not resolve over the
phone. Just treat them with respect and if they can't do it they put you
on hold and find someone who can do.

IMHO You reap what you sew.
