Thread : DDR or RDRAM: What is the Difference?

I am thinking of buying a p4 1.8a and overclocking to 2.4 or more and I am needing some new RAM. I don't know too much about RDRAM and was wondering if someone could inform me on it and help me make a decision on what type of RAM is best for me. I want to be able to play the most current games such as BF1942 and UT2K3 and be able to do digital imaging and web page design but by no means something like AUTOCAD. I was wondering how RDRAM and DDR stack up compared to each other. Cost is an issue as I have noticed that RDRAM can be pricey. Thanks for all of your input!! |

Hi. Of course, I copied and pasted that information. It should be obvious. Gee whiz. Is this what you are talking about?. Is this not allowed?. I'm sorry. From now on I'll give the web site addy. I've given links many times, at other forums. I just haven't felt like it here. I enjoy hunting down information. It increases my knowledge and I'm building a great archive of links. Should I share these links?. Sometimes, but every question I've tried to answer so far nobody else took the time to reply. I saw it as an opportunity. I'm sure many INSANE strangers have done this before. What do you mean " am I sane ". The question doesn't bother me. I like myself. If I'm not sane, get the mods to take me off the forums. You've been sniping at me for a couple days now. Why I don't know. I'm not smart, a lot of what I say is wrong(when it's my own words). That's why I cut and paste a lot of stuff. Well, Winona calling me. I've got to get going.

No no, I just assumed that the text you copied and pasted had weird characters due to your own comp's fonts, apparently it was the website. You're allowed to copy paste man!

Hi. Just don't see it on this end. Memories, like the cobwebs in my mind. Had to have something pertaining to memory, you know.

PC1066 gives you around 5% better performance at stock speed than PC2700. Actually a bit more, maybe 6%. It also supports overclocking by a fairly large amount.
