More Information

I think it would be interesting to detail our system specs (only what UD uses), and how many points it assigns to each. I'll do mine when I get home.

Memory: 134 (512MB of RDRAM)

Hey, how do you and OWL get such a good score for network?

I have >
Total 107
Proc 141 > backed off to default of 1.4Ghz for now.
RAM 134 >512MB
Storage 88 > increased disk size for next one.
Network 43 > ADSL EZ connection USB to dual speed ethernet converter and broadband was no better either.

Sheesh, everytime I look the move the goal posts! Once upon a time I was getting Total 164 regulary.

My primary ud comp. probably has one of the lowest system scores, if not the lowest on the entire team. I have another system running ud that scores less than this one. I'd be doing pretty good if I could get my stinking internet sharing to work. I've got an Athlon 1.2 sitting here doing no work units.

heh
i just did some basic math.
seems they dont do much to calculate your CPU scores.

for P4 architecture, regardless of A or non A status your CPU rating is:

Mhz/15 = rating.
e.g.
1500/15 = 100 or 2500/15 = 166

for athlons, regardless of tbird or xp status its:
Mhz/10.5 = rating.

Yeup, I don't think any of it has to do with how well you can actually crunch numbers. I think I have one of the lowest overall points/unit ratios, but one of the best cpu time/unit ratios.

yeah. it doesnt really matter to me either.
i just get the jobs and crunch them... though ive noticed that really really long jobs give huge points.

i had one that consumed allmost 32 dedicated CPU hours on my tbird 1400!

crunch crunch crunch
