Great article on Mini CDRs. I think you missed one big use for them. How many times do we actually use all the space on a CD. I am routinely writing small amounts 20-50 meg of files, pictures etc to share and mail. I love using the smaller disk, particularly in the cool colors. It stylish and gets attention when they arrive too! This helps with distribution of marketing media and such

You could always leave a larger disc open and write to it at will up to its capacity.

Yea if I keep it but not if grama has it with pix of the kids.. I am lucky if she can read it with her computer let alone make sure she has a cd/rw to read it with.

Mini cdrs are cool but they cost twice as much and have half as much space. Wouldn't it be better to just burn part of the cd, even with wasted space? I usually max my cds.

 :frown:        - What do you want to feel today? :)

More Information

If you like Mini CD-R's only for its size and want to use it for music then I would get a minidisc instead of a unit such as the Compaq PM-1. With LP4 mode you can get up to 320 mins of music on one minidisc all for about the same size as a mini CD-r. The newer netMD's make transfer of music scream @ 32x too. Too bad MD's are not that popular here in the States.
