Can a show recorded on one Tivo be viewed on a second on demand or does it
have to be transferred before viewing?

I believe it has to be transferred, but you don't have to wait for it to
complete before you begin watching it. Also, I think it typically
transfers at faster than realtime rates, so it all amounts to the same
thing.

On Demand if your network is fast enough.

Well, it does depend on your network's speed, and the bitrate of the
video... "Best" quality can't transfer in real time over a wireless link,
generally.
