Can't answer for the rest, but the CA-55 converter works very well.
Use one with my 6230i now (even if they say 6230i is not supported)

What does NOT work very well is the new antenna couplers :-(

They are based on "leaks" from the build-in antenna over to the holder
(and not on a connector). And when some phone (like the 6610) gets
squeezed thight with the coupler and might work good, other phones
(like the 6230i) has a design thing making the lens/ir/speaker cover
raise 1 mm from the rear plate. This makes a gap between the 6230i and
the antenna coupler - and that must be devestating for the signal.

Anyway. My phone has better reception strength w/o external antenna
(with the 6310i in the CARK-91, in got better w/ external antenna :-)

Why do they do things like that?
Why no antenna connector?
Why the design-fault (1 mm gap)?
