I used to use IVS fine. Now I moved into a new place and it doesn't work
anymore. Here's the difference:

My new place is bigger, so I am no longer able to wire my RTV to my router.
So I bought a wireless bridge. Works great. I have my cable modem plugged
into my wireless router, and my RTV plugged into my wireless bridge, and it
works fine, except the IVS. I haven't changed anything else.

If I go into my RTV settings, I see
- Inbound port no. 29000
- Internet ID 00004-54831-84009
- IP 192.168.2.30
- Netmask 255.255.255.0
- Gateway 192.168.2.1.

If I go into my router settings, I have my virtual server private ip
192.168.2.30 private port 29000. I also have my trigger port 29000 and
public port 29000, just like the directions said to on www.lhaven.net.

Again, I didn't change anything, and it used to work. The only difference
is the addition of a wireless bridge. Please all you IVS experts out there,
help me fix my problem and I will be forever in your service.

Have you done any setup changes on the wireless bridge to make sure it
sees the router and has whatever WEP encryption you use set properly?
What bridge are you using?

I'm using the D-Link 810+. It sees the router because that's how it's
downloading the directory.

Okay, I forgot to mention I'm using a broadband phone unit. So I have the
cable modem plugged into the broadband phone that uses 68.85.238.160. It's
assigns my wireless router the IP of 192.168.102.1. My wireless router
assigns my wireless bridge the IP of 192.168.2.11. Lastly, my wireless
bridge assigns my RTV unit the IP of 192.168.2.30.

What should my settings be?

If you connect the RTV to the router with a long cable for testing does
it work? If so, then we know we have problem at the wireless bridge.
What gateway is the wireless bridge set to?

It's a legacy problem. This is a know problem with all ReplayTV units
connected by way of wireless bridge. Your better off just hard wiring it.

It is posisble to get a NAT through a NAT connection working, though
eaiser to limit the changes if you don't know what you are doing.

Your wireless bridge may be "bridging" the wired and wireless networks,
but from your description your wireless router is also functioning as a
router as well -- that is your wired network (192.168.102.1 assigned to
the wired side of your bridge) routing to the other network on the
wireless side (192.168.2.xxx).

So for IVS to work you would need to map your IVS port number from the
private wireless network to the public side of your wired network and
then again from thatprivate wired network to the public side of the
internet.

Something like below assuming a IVS port of 29000

192.168.2.30:29000 <--- 192.168.102.1:29000 <---- public:29000
RTV device <---- wi-fi bridge <--- wi-fi router <--- broadband
phone

You need to be able to map the port on the broadband phone, or other
"border" router. This would be the diagram above.

For ease of use I would turn off the routing on your wireless router
(disable DHCP server and NAT); then your RTV and any other devices on
your network would have the same address range as coming off your
broadband phone (192.168.102.xx) and you would only need to define one
virtual server public to private port mapping.

It sounds like you are using the WAN ports of BOTH your wireless AND
wired routers. Don't. Connect your wireless to wired via the LAN
ports.

I have the same wireless bridge, and found that I had to be
broadcasting the SSID from the wireless router in order for the 810+
to recognize the network.
