Hello,
purchased a switch to join my mac, ps3, and xbox360 on one network to a modem...don't have a router...

Cannot get the 360 or PS3 to log on and keeps saying that it could not find the IP address...

Should I have bought a router vice a switch?

Yes, you need a router since your mode will only provide one IP
