After gaming I turn off my computer. Lately when I reboot my monitor won't
come on and stays a black screen. I took it into Best Buy warranty. They
suggest that notebooks aren't really meant for gaming and that the game
played resets my settings and that when I turn off the computer and reboot
later, the computer fails to restart using the default settings. Called the
game manufacturer and they suggest downloading updates for monitor and
graphics. Anyone else have this problem and does this advice sound good?
Thanks.

Hi Jon,
Updating your Graphics and Monitor drivers is good advice.
You might also consider lowering the resolution and refresh
rate using the in-game settings so that they match what you
are using for your Windows desktop. I hope that helps. :-)
