Hi there, can anyone suggest a remedy to the following.

My PC has started to crash whenever my PDA tries to connect through
Activesync. when I use Mokia sync software for my mobile phone
synchronising, the same happens. Also, when I use a USB mass storage
device, the system freezes. I have replaced the hard disk and rebuilt a
fresh installation of XP SP2. I have added new memory, which I have
removed again in case there was some kind of incompatibility. I have
bought a separate USB PCI card. I have upgraded the PSU to 400W. I have
tried removing activesync and Nokia phone syncing software, but it still
crashes. I've downloaded all the system updates from Microsoft.

I've run out of ideas. Next step is goodbye motherboard, but I reckon
there is some USB/PCI driver issue going on somewhere.

My system is Athlon XP1800, 512MB Ram, 80GB hard drive, ECS K7S5A
motherboard 32MB AGP graphics card. Running XP SP2.

Many thanks

Mark

I'd look at the Power Supply first.
