More Information

I bought a:

FireWire CF Digital Film Reader

I installed the software into my Mac, & everything works.

I have a Dell laptop (PIII 900mhz) running Windows ME, & I used a 6-pin
to 4-pin adapter on the cable, so it would fit the Dell's 4-pin FW in
port. When I plug in the card reader & insert the card, nothing
happens. I don't see anything under "My Computer", except drive E:

Q: Do I need a separate driver for Windows?
A: No, the driver is already included in Windows 98SE, Windows 2000 and
Windows Me.

Q: How do I remove the card from the Lexar FireWire Reader?
A: For Mac: The card must be ejected or unmounted by dragging the disk
icon to the “TRASH” before pushing the eject  button on the Lexar
FireWire adapter.
For PC: Just push the eject button to remove the digital film.

The Dell laptop is able to detect my JVC DV video camera, when it is
plugged into the FW in port. I don't understand why it isn't detecting
the Lexar CF reader.

I'm a newbie to PCs (I'm a mac person).
