Ep43t slow gpu

I have two systems, one a ga-ep45-ud3lr and the other a ga-ep43t-ud3l. Both run e7400´s and saphire hd3870´s. The ep43t 3870 gpu starts at 483 mhz at power on but the ep45 3870 gpu starts at 776. Gigabyte ET6 brings the speed up later no problem.
Why the difference at power on?
power savings?
graphic cards are known to downlock when in light/no usage
try running some gpu benchmark and see if the core speed changes

what do you mean by "starts" exactly ?
do you mean like me right now siting doing nothing looking on my gadgets and my AMD 6870 idle 250Mhz at moment, but as soon as i start game it jump to full speed of 1000Mhz. ?
how do you check gpu speeds?

Thanks for the help, found the problem. ET6 wasn´t loading correctly. Now it shows the same on both systems, panic over.
