[Solved] EVGA GTX 560 Driver Issues
Forum Graphic & Displays : Graphics Cards [Solved] EVGA GTX 560 Driver Issues
Hi,
I've been working on this problem for a month now... see my thread at the EVGA Forums for some more insight... I'm thinking my problems are larger than the graphics card
http://www.evga.com/forums/tm.aspx?high=&m=1426989
Setup:
Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3P
Intel I5 2400
G.Skill 1600 8GB
EVGA GTX 560
Corsair Pro HX650
Crucial M4 64GB SSD
WD Cav Black 500GB
Dual Dell UltraSharp 21.5"
After multiple installs/re-installs/driver sweep/etc. here's where I am at:
Windows 7 64 Fresh Install
Intel 6 Series Chipset Driver
Intel 6 Series Chipset Driver Manager
Intel 6 Series VGA Driver
- Manual System -> "High Definition Audio Controller" (2x) -> disabled
Nvidia Driver 285.62 WHQL
- Custom Install -> Graphics Driver & PhysX & "Clean Install" ONLY
BIOS will POST
"Windows Loading"
Black screen, then Black with gray pixel rectangles, then black screen
I have tried 5 different driver packages... I have a technical support request in, but I'm typically on the road during the week and unable to troubleshoot during tech support hours..
Any suggestions?

OK here's an update... we have progress...
I've disabled all HD Audio drivers in windows...
I've also gone into the BIOS settings and made a few changes based on some research.
The results are mixed... I can get to the windows logon 3/5 times... but after trying to logon i lose my screens again... Windows event manager keeps telling me that the driver fails and resets... Now I'm running Memtest86.. again

Switch in an older ATI HD4850 512MB... it works fine...
put the GTX 560 in my older PC and it works:
Gigabyte EP45-UD3P
Intel Q6600 @ 3.2GHz
G.Skill DDR2 800 (4x2Gb)
Sapphire Radeon 4850
Win 7 Pro
WTF!?!
I've been told its my PSU... any thoughts?
I doubt it's the PSU, it could be but I doubt it.

New symptom... when I have only one monitor, well call it monitor A plugged into DVI port 1, everything works, shutdown, restart.. Monitor A, DVI port 2; everything works (some flickering) shutdown, restart... Monitor B, port 1; ok (flickering), etc... monitor B, port 2; ok etc... monitor A, port 1; then plug in monitor B, port 2... instant fail... monitor A, port 2; then B port 1... flickering, then fail....
I think I have grounds for a RMA now...

I would say yes on the RMA, i sent back 2 EVGA gtx 460s befor EVGA sent back a 560gtx Ti that finely worked, there 60s cards seem to be highly defective.... Your more patient then me i made them RMA the darn things after an hour of troubleshooting. Both cards turned out to be defective which is what i said at the start, love EVGA but there 60s cards piss me off.
