So are you looking for feedback on a video card and a hdd?

Video: the February Toms report shows a 6850 or 6870 as good buys in the $130-$170 range

Hdd: Prices are very high. A 500gb 7200 rpm would be the best choice now.

If I missed anything say the word.

Just check to make sure that the voltage of the ram meets the mobo requirement. Many Intels wasn 1.5v. If that matches up then you should be ok.

Windows 7 home premium is the most home friendly.

for ram I would say

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6820233186 or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6820233197

I have had problems with the patriot so I dont like to order from them. Not sure if you said you wanted 8 or 16 gb, but 1600 is a good speed. The low profile will allow a bigger aftermarket cooler for your i7 later down the road.

For a HDD at the current price http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6822148840

is a good 1tb for 100bucks after MIR

For graphics card I would also suggest a 6850 I use:

http://www.amazon.com/HIS-Eyefinit [...] 639&sr=8-6

and you can easily overclock it without to much temp increase to that of a 6870.

You said you wanted to stay in budget but I did not see what your Budget was?
