Intel Core i5 2500k Sandy Bridge
Fine if you want to OC otherwise save money with the 2400

Motherboard:
Gigabyte Z68A-D3H-B3
Ok

Cooling:
Heatsink/Fan: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Ok

Controller: Scythe Kaze Master Pro
Seems to me that the number of fans is overkill and may not help. Understanding the airflow dynamics of your case is important to make sure you are helping and not hurting

Ram:
Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4 x 4GB)
Its inexpensive but not worth the cost for gaming. May have some value if you were doing a lot of video editing

Storage:
SSD: Crucial M4 128GB
Fine

HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200
500gb would be plenty and given the prices for hdd's now I would save the money

Graphics: SLI Build
EVGA GeForce GTX 560Ti 448 Core "Classified"
Did you look at the Toms February graphic card report? 560 is ok but for the money you may find the AMD choices better

PSU:
XFX ProSeries 1000W, 80+ Platinum, Modular
WAAAY over the top. Get a Corsair or Seasonic bronze or better 650w and that will be more than enough. Platinum series not worth the cost and 1000w is way too much

Case:

Audio:

I haven;t used a sound card for years. Onboard does nicely

Optical:

Current prices $20-$25 for a RW CD/DVD and $75-$85 for a BR


The Fan Controller is for the five 120mm, and one 220mm case fans. The extra Ram is just because it's cheap, and for "why not" factor.


Question: Would it be worth the extra $80.00 to upgrade to the Core i7 2600K CPU? Mainly for gaming, and watching Netflix/movies while console gaming.
