HELP QUICK!!! COOLING FOR NEW BUILD

Hi there im building a new gaming computer and getting a

Corsair h100

Now i am wondering what 4 fans to get with this plus with that im getting 4-5 fans to replace the side fans on my rosewill thor
4 on the side 1 on the bottom maybe might just use the corsair stock fan for that slot not sure but so far im not trying to break the bank as 8-9 fans are expensive i found this for cheap

The b-gears b blaster 120mm its 103cfm, 3.00mm/h20 static pressure "which i think is good idk", and finally 35 db
all this for 7 dollars each

Is this good? will it be too loud? what are some other CHEAP fans to replace if these arent good? And how loud will it be with these fans there will be 8-9 of these 35db, 1-2 140mm 20db fans, and 1 230mm 18db fan, plus a corsair tx v2 fan, thats about it if you could get back to me quickly it would be well appreciated thanks bye. :hello:

First off what case are you using? It would help to know if your case has the radiator mounts needed to house the H100 internally or not (using the H100 externally would *NOT* be a good idea). If it doesn't I'm not sure that cooler would be a good idea.

Question: Why are you going with that cooling approach? Can't for the life of me see a situation where it would be needed nor the cost.

That's why I was asking about the case, if it can't support the radiator internally it makes no sense to use one.

well the case as i said before was a rosewill thor its in there. two becuse im bored and want to overclock the hell out of an ivybridge when i get one, and yes ive checked and checked and check it does support an h100 on the top it could even support it on the side if i wanted too but that would be painful to look inside the thing but yah one the whole cooling is only going to cost me around 160 bucks which i dont mind paying for good cooling sry about misleading/ not enough info up there was in a hurry

You can certainly get by with a standard air fan for 1/3 the cost and save your money and use it elsewhere. A Hyper 212 Evo will allow you to take your CPU way above 35 - 40% over clock speed. The reason I don't recommend water cooling even a closed liquid loop like the H100 is that if something goes wrong - there goes your system. And I don't know if AMD is the same way but Intel will for sure void your warranty if they find you've been using water cooling. Air cooling is a lot safer and it will prolong the life of your system better.

ill take that into consideration too so what would a good air cooler be and are the fans that i stated above good or what else should i get

The CM 212 gets a lot of support. As for case fans one intake in front and one expel in the rear + the psu fan adn you should be perfectly fine.

Here's a couple of suggestions and you can go from there. The first two are what I use and they work great, the others are ones that are about the same price and just as highly rated:

The brands I would avoid would be Xigmatek and Masscool. Zalman, Thermaltake, and Arctic Cooling are decent but there's way better. I've heard Prolimatech makes some good stuff but you have to provide your own fans. Thermalright also makes some quality heat sinks but they're hard to find.

There are a few that im looking at there a lil more expensive than those but i still believe u get what u pay for thing but corsair h100 is tad pricy 103 on amazon so i can settle for one of the following

I'm not a big fan of the gigantic coolers like the Silver Arrow or the D14. I had the Silver Arrow and it actually obstructed my system's air flow, causing it to heat to almost 57'C - pretty alarming when the overheating barrier on most motherboards is 60'C. I swapped it with the EVGA cooler and it's cooled my system down significantly - 33'C idle, 41'C with full use. On my workstation I use the Hyper 212 with 2 fans - keeps my CPU cool to 21'C on idle, 33'C on full use. The extra heat in my home system is due to the SLI setup.

i agree.i heard xigmatek thermal paste is crap.but zalman and arctic are good IMO.thermaltake frio is a good cooler too(i know it's loud :??: )
i am using prolimatech megahalems rev.b and it's awesome.using 2xsickflows on it.rev.c is highly recommended heatsink.add cougar or any other good fans to make a high performance quiet heatsink :sol:

I had a Xigmatek Gaia and when I hooked it up my CPU was reporting temperature read errors left and right and I eventually lost a motherboard because of it - never again will I buy or support their products. The Zalman fan I was using was pretty decent but nothing over-the-top amazing. I've heard mixed reviews of the Arctic Cooling fan, but I will agree their compounds are top quality.

i heard a lot about that (zalman)3x120mm fan cooler.it is huge but if someone can fit,it's a really good performer.
