Forum Homebuilt Systems : New Build Low end gaming pc $500 + os and monitor?
need a computer for low-end games such as combat arms and such. I am getting my friend to do it for me for $100 so I need it to be around $500, please. Links would be nice, I'd also like the monitor (if you could pick that out too) not to be to high in resolution I don't want to have low FPS. 
I got people who told me some builds but when I calculated the price $390 + OS = 490 + 100 = 590 + 100 to pay my friend = 690...$90 over budget, then again rebates and everything I guess comes in play, but still rebates weren't to high. Um. If you thave a build suggestion with links^ as I said above that would be awesome. Reason why I don't want to build it myself is because I don't want to break it and or waste time fixing the problem. Thanks, PLEASE ANSWER THE ABOVE QUESTIONS AND can you tell me if your build can run League of Legends on Medium settings at least, I don't expect a low-end rig to play at max settings, lol. Thanks again!!

Okay, thanks. And, lol, I don't want a really old system. ;D I got the case picked out. I'll take a 250 GB HDD to save money. Honestly I'll go look for a monitor at a thrift store I think, lol. It'll save me a couple of bucks. I'll get the mouse + keyboard from a thrift store to save money. Now I need a GPU, CPU, and a MoBo. I was suggested a g540 as a low-end CPU and a 6790 as a GPU, I don't know, I'd like to see what you've got planned.
Just got off the line with best buy and they told me they would do certain parts for me no CHARGE!LOL. Cooleio i'll save $100 I guess... -- I don't know I'm going to study up on my facts on building and stuff and call Geeksquad was just off the phone with them if they could do bios and stuff and they never mentioned charging, haha, pretty sick if they won't charge. Only thing I'm depressed or scared about is the thermal paste part, air venting, wiring, and the BIOS! any tips on those things? or pacific videos regarding them, Thanks.

Yes, it probably would, but not too much, also it's more expensive (i think ) to get 2x2gb rather than 1x4gb even though its faster

Can you give me a link for a 2x2 Gb ram stick and tell me the difference between a 2x2 Gb ram stick and a 1x4 Gb ram stick? Thanks.
I save a bit of cash I can upgrade my processor to an i3 2100 with $509, should I do it? Also I will live if I spend a extra $50 for a cooler master HAF 912 I love it, it' one of my favorite cases and it has great reviews one of the best low-end to mid-end cases there is.
Whatever you want for the case If you're planning on multitasking (recording while gaming, teamspeak, skype, etc.) then going with an i3 would benefit you, because it has 4 threads instead of 2. Also, if you want to do rendering/editing then the i3 will help a lot because they can take advantage of multi-threading.
