I haven't seen many posts asking how to get bluetooth working again
after installing Windows XP Service Pack 2.  On the chance that
someone is looking for a very easy fix, I ran across and highly
recommend this BTDriverFix from BVRP (the people who make Mobile Phone
Tools).

I fixed 2 of my desktop BT setups with this program.  All you have to
do is be connected to the Internet and  click Yes to let it do the
fix.  In my case it replaced the generic Microsoft bluetooth drivers
with Widcomm's version 1.4.2.8 6/17/2003.

One of the PCs never had the Widcomm drivers installed.  All it had
was the generic MS BT drivers.

On my machine, when I plugged the BT adapter into different USB ports,
the BT was rediscovered each time and the MS drivers were installed.
Running BTDriverFix fixed it.  I did need to have the BT adapter
plugged in the port I wanted to fix while I ran the fix.

Re-reading this post it comes across to my like a commercial for the
program.  Its not meant to be.  I have no connection with BVRP,
Microsoft or Widcom.  I just wanted to pass it on.  I hope someone can
benefit from it.

Good Luck
