what are you planning to do with your pc?

Because if you are doing heavy OCing and high stress programs, than the evo might make sense, but for most uses the 212+ should be adaquate, and you can always add a fan to the 212+ for added performance.

The Hyper 212+ and EVO are the same cooler for all intents and purposes one is not any better than the other just buy the cheaper one.

+1

I had the 212+ and it was a great cooler for the price. Quiet as well, and 2 fans in push-pull will knock 2-3 deg C off your temps, also.

212 evo is a bit better than 212+, better contact on the bottom and offers a slightly better fan. Though it is slightly louder.

Well my 212+ is silent and the evo can keep its 2 or 3c benefit I dont need to begin with but as for the silence and 5 dollar savings I got with my 212+ I am more than happy with it imho.

On a 212 evo with dual push pull fans, 4.5ghz i7-2600k has topped out at 55, 56, 57, 59 on all four cores after a 7 hour occt run.
