Im planning on buying this Power Supply.

I was wondering if this works in my system that uses an IDE hard drive, because in the reviews one person mentions that this PSU doesnt provide an IDE power interface?

However I can see in the photos, it has the 4 slot power connectors that look like it is able to easily fit into the power slot at the back of the IDE hard drive.

I just dont understand whether or not this power supply is compatible with my IDE hard drive and DVD drive.

I already have the slave/master cable. And when looking at my current PSU it has the same 4 slot power connector that goes into my IDE.

Even if it doesnt have the right connecters you can get extra cables that will convert and let you use an ide drive

yeah i heard you can do that. Its fairly difficult to judge if its compatible by looking at their pictures so I guess I gotta just try it out. And buy connectors if i have to.

Its got 3 molex connectors for fans and IDE devices so it will work fine with your older IDE hard drive.

The three 4 Pin Peripheral Connectors, that the Corsair Builder Series CX430 V2 has, is exactly the power connectors that would be required by a PATA IDE hard disk drive or CD/DVD drive.
