Hello, I built my computer a couple years ago I decided to upgrade the ram from 4 to eaither 8 or 12 gigs. I currently have 2 2 gigs can I add two 4 gigs or do they ALL have to be two gigs?

Unless your motherboard has specific limitations, you could add 2 4 gig sticks. If you have 4 slots, you should be able to have 10 gigs.

This is just theory, as I can't tell you for sure without knowing what motherboard you have. If you still have the manual, it should tell you how memory can be arranged.
