There is a great newegg shell shocker going on for this great ram (G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model F3-17000CL11D-8GBSR), but it compatible with my motherboard (GIGABYTE GA-970A-D3)? Quick answer please, thanks :)

I don't see why not. It's the same type, so it should be fine. The G.Skill RAM is good stuff in my limited experience.

If you ever need to find out if that ram is compatible check what Chipsets the ram supports and match that with your motherboard or just go to your motherboards website and download the ram compatibility list

it wasn't on the list, but why wouldn't it work? Its compatable with others of "DDR3 2133"

Yes. I think you have to go with the ripjaws ones if you still want that same motherboard, but the Sniper ones have a great price on them
