I'm getting a new board for my Intel core 2 quad 8200 because my current board is a PROPIETARY...so i can't use it in another case.

I was looking at this mobo http://canadacomputers.com/product [...] _id=046071

But Is it pci express 2.1 or 2.0? Because I'm gonna get a video card that uses 2.1.

Also if you have any other better boards FOR MY CPU please post them.

Unless your board is btx format, you should be able to transfer it to your next case. It may have a proprietary connector requiring you to re-use the same power supply. Otherwise, get the gigabyte board. It may only be pci-e 2.0, but that's adequate for your new card. Most are backwards compatable and the speed difference is nil. Also be aware your proprietary copy of windows won't load without your old board; you'll need a new windows coa.

The only issue with my current board is the front panel connectors...They dont work with the other cases...
