I have an older Asus P7P55D for which I would like to run 16GB out of just two memory slots. Does anyone know if each slot on this particular motherboard will recognize an 8GB stick of RAM or will I have to spread the 16GB across 4 slots? If I have to spread across 4, I will have to go with low profile RAM due to a lack of space and I would like to avoid that if possible.

I have not found any references to 8GB sticks per slot in the manual but I am not sure if that was very common back when this mother board came out.

Thanks.

That board will accept 16GB max Memory. but will not accept 8GB moduals. for 16GB you must use 4X 4GB
