Hello..

I built a new PC recently with Sandisk Ultra 120GB SSD. It worked fine for the first two weeks but then BSODs started to occur. It was happening once every couple of days then it become a daily affair. Now my PC doesn't last 5 minutes before I get a BSOD. It usually starts with a major slowdown and then it freezes with a BSOD. I don't have any dumps since the BSOD hangs at "initializing disk for crash dump".

I tried to figure out the source of the problem. I ran my pc with an OS stored on an HDD and it worked fine. I hooked up my SDD as a secondary disk and found out that after sometime the system stops recognizing the SSD and I need to go the the Device Manager and scan for changes for it to show up again.

Is the device faulty or is there a workaround?

Specs:
i5 2500k
ASRock P67 Extreme4 Gen3
G.Skill 8GB DDR3
Sandisk Ultra SSD 120GB
XFX 6950 2GB
XFX 550w PSU

Thanks.

definatly sounds like a faulty SSD

you can try it in another computer to be sure tho.

If the SSD BSODS and the HDD works fine, thats a huge hint.
