My friend recently installed Windows 7 (Ultimate, x64) on his machine and since, only some of the files on his second drive can be seen. Any ideas?

Thanks.

If he can see some, then the drive is recognized, and there is no hardware issue.

The default for windows is to hide certain classes of files, like system files. Check into that.

In control panel/folder options/ view, there are check boxes to display or not various classes of folders.
