Hello,
I just installed an HP DVD 1270i DVD writer. However, when I try to burn an iso image to the DVD (810 megs), I get an "problem copying" message.

I would uninstall in the device manager and reinstall. Then use ImgBurn to write the iso image to disk.

Problem solved. I checked the device settings and they were all configured for a CD player. Thanks!

Hi, having similar problems. Where do you change the settings? My dvd drive is showing up as a cd-rom drive and I can't figure out where to change it. Thanks in advance!

Well, now the problem has returned, and for the life of me, I can't remember how I fixed it the first time! I'll do what RealBeast recommended.

My wife has a Mac PowerBook Pro. When you slip a blank CD or DVD in, it displays the disk icon as either a CD or DVD. Windows won't do that (unless 7 changed it). So when you've got kids who like to mess with your blank disks, and you don't know if you've got a CD, DVD, or a coaster, it's a real PITA.

I can't seem to find any drivers at HP's site. :(
