so finally got my xfx hd 5770... everytime i try to install the the ati drivers (downloaded as well as the ones including on th cd) the installer fails i get to the point where they ask Install or Remove, but either one I click the same thing happens... the box disappears I wait for another window to appear but it never does. windows 7 64-bit drivers on windows 7 pro tried installing 32-bit driver just for the heck of it and the setup detects that and quits the install. anyone seen a similar issue?
solved.... issue due to installing visual studio 2010 beta which happened to overwrite some 2005 files used by the ati installer
