Hey, i recently put a 1045t in my new rig and i want to over clock this bad boy so bad. the motherboard i have comes with an automated feature and right now has it from 2.7 to 3.1GHz, but i want MORE. the automated feature had it up to 3.8GHz and it ran for about 10 mins, and i'm sure i could tweak it to be stable there. My question is basically can anyone give me a tutorial to do this? I've never OC'd before and have a small but vague idea of what to do. Here are my specs:

motherboard: biostar TA790GX A3+ (latest bios)
cpu: AMD phenom II x6 1045t
RAM: 8GB DDR3 1333MHz (i've heard that 1333MHz is hard to OC with)

if you guys need anything else let me know and thank you for your time in advance.

Have you tried reading the basic guides here in the overclocking forum? They're good enough for to get you started

definitely read the pre-made tutorials. As a suggestion though I wouldn't recommend adjusting settings on top of the auto OC you did. Reset to default settings and start from scratch, and use the BIOS don't use any overclocking software.
